Journal of Plant Biological Sciences (former name: Iranian Journal of Plant Biology) is one of the official publications of Isfahan University since 2010 in cooperation with the Iranian Biology Society and published as a quarterly journal. It is an open-access, online-only, peer-reviewed journal that considers scientific papers in all different subdisciplines of vascular and non-vascular plant and microscopic plants (algae) biology, such as plant physiology, plant molecular biology, plant cell biology, plant genetics, plant systematics, plant anatomy and morphology, plant ecology and plant-microbe interactions.
Journal of Plant Biological Sciences (former name: Iranian Journal of Plant Biology) publishes original articles derived from original research work. From a multidisciplinary perspective, this journal will provide a platform for publication, information and debate, encompassing all areas which fall within the scope of plant science.

Reviewing and Evaluating: Journal of Plant Biological Sciences (former name: Iranian Journal of Plant Biology) is a peer-reviewed journal. The articles which are received are sent to three reviewers to be blind-reviewed. If the reports of two of them are positive, the paper is sent back to the authors for revision. Finally, the article is sent back to one of the reviewers for the final check. If his/her report is positive, the paper is accepted.

Article Processing Charges: Articles in this journal are open-access and available online at no cost to read, download, distribute or reuse. To support open-access publishing, this journal charges a publication fee to offset peer review management, journal production, language editing and online hosting and archiving.
These fees include 1000,000 Rials for the first screening by Chief Editor or Editorial Board and 2,500,000 Rials for Acceptance which are payable upon acceptance.

Plagiarism Policy:
The author(s) must avoid plagiarism of any kind and abide by the principle of intellectual property and joint data ownership in the case of the originality of the manuscript and research carried out in collaboration with a supervisor(s) and/or other researchers. The need to validate new observations by showing that experiments are reproducible should not be interpreted as plagiarism, provided that the data to be confirmed are explicitly quoted.
Researchers should ensure if any aspect of their work is delegated, that the person to whom it is delegated has the competence to carry it out.
Journal of Plant Biological Sciences (former name: Iranian Journal of Plant Biology) will judge any case of plagiarism on its own metrics. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript, before or after acceptance, during editing or at the page proof stage, we will alert the author(s), asking her or him to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive, the article may be rejected.
If extensive plagiarism is detected after the publication of a manuscript, the article will be deleted from the archive, this Plagiarism will be announced on the journal website and the author(s) name(s) will be put on the blacklist.
All articles submitted to the University of Isfahan will be checked through similarity check software before entering the referring process.
